Live Review : The Dead Daisies + The Treatment + The Bites @ O2 Ritz, Manchester on September 17th 2024

After eight years of Rockflesh.com contravening grammatical structures, it is only inevitable that there will be repetition and repeat offenders. Whilst there is a myriad of acts that this here website has covered twice or thrice, there is only a handful of musical vendors that we have caught up with in numerous locations and on numerous occasions. A particular frequent flyer is those ubiquitous test-tube breed hard rockers, The Dead Daisies. There was a point before the pandemic when they seemed to be everywhere and had taken up squatters' rights in this country.

Live Review : Buckcherry + The Treatment + Rubikon @ The Waterloo Music Bar, Blackpool on January 24th 2024

It’s January, it’s cold, it’s miserable and the temptation is to just stay indoors and hibernate.  So what better way to combat those mid-winter blues than with a three band sold out rock n’ roll show?

Openers Rubikon deal in a dense, throbbing, swampy sound that certainly makes an immediate impact.  Somewhat constrained by the restricted stage areas, they make the absolute most of both the time and space afforded them.

Live Review : Skid Row + The Treatment + Enuff Z'Nuff @ O2 Ritz, Manchester on October 27th 2022

Well what an exciting slice of music we have to look forward to this evening! It’s a mouth-watering mix of classic and rejuvenated ‘80’s American rock, with a hefty slice of noise from current NWOCR Gods The Treatment sandwiched in-between. It is indeed enough to make you proud that you are of an age to remember when both Skid Row and Enuff Z’Nuff released absolute stonkers of debut albums way back in ’89. Time has thrown varying degrees of mixed fortunes at both bands yet here they still are, still rockin and delivering some serious shit in the form of their latest releases. I am indeed salivating at the prospect.

Live Review : Reckless Love + The Treatment + Collateral @ Hangar 34, Liverpool on September 3rd 2022

It’s a funny sort of night tonight. This is one of a long line of covid-hit gigs, originally scheduled to be Reckless Love and Dan Reed Network co-headlining, with Mason Hill supporting. Then covid happened, and it all got postponed, and rescheduled, and postponed again, then things happened in the Dan Reed camp and he dropped out, the dates didn’t work for Mason Hill, the original venue (grand Central Hall) closed down and we began to wonder if any tour at all would happen.

Live Review : The Treatment + Piston + South Of Salem @ The Tivoli, Buckley on April 22nd 2022

What a bill to be touring together. One established band with a great reputation, one new-ish band who are also building a solid fanbase for themselves on the club circuit and one (in my opinion anyway) of the most exciting new bands on the scene right now. I had to be there. You should have been there too! No seriously, although we are now “living with” covid the unfortunate aftermath of that is that an awesome bill like this at the Tiv was woefully under-attended. The crowd was enthusiastic, and a reasonable size, but for such a great bill in such a great venue it could have been better. I mean come on, the Tiv even has new post-lockdown carpets so you don’t stick to the floor any more – what more could you want?

Live Review : Fozzy + The Treatment + Stitched Up Heart @ Club Academy, Manchester on November 30th 2021

It may feel like the world is returning to hell in its ever-reliable handcart, but if we are going to go down the crowd tonight at club academy are going to go down partying. I am not quite sure why there is such a jovial atmosphere tonight, maybe it’s the time of year or maybe it’s the promise of being in close proximity to living breathing superstar, but there is an air of a runaway hen do from the off. Openers Stitched Up Heart benefit greatly from this.

Live Review : Buckcherry + The Treatment + Rocky Kramer @ The Tivoli, Buckley on November 1st 2019

I have no idea who tonight’s first support, Rocky Kramer is. A person? A band? Having watched them I now know it’s a person AND a band. Rocky is a rather charismatic Noel Fielding lookalike who hails from Norway and is now based in the US, and his band are a competent if somewhat proggy outfit that back up his singing and guitar playing.

Live Review : The Treatment + Bigfoot @ Rebellion, Manchester on May 30th 2019

Tonight's entertainment comes courtesy of two relatively new British rock outfits that are either coming or going. Support band, Bigfoot are going, having decided to call it a day after only 5 years together, and headliners The Treatment, despite suffering from exploding singer syndrome in recent years, are still coming, and currently busy promoting their recently released 4th album “Power Crazy”.
