I will listen and dance to just about anything if the mood takes me… if I can understand and feel the lyrics or just feel the emotion in the music, I am home, if I can just dance to it then it’s still great.
In my day job as a Security & Fire Engineer, I am on the road a lot and can listen to lots of music. This helps with the job and the hours of driving to keep me grounded. I prefer hearing things I don’t expect, so I lean more to radio than playlists and algorithms.
My other hobby is electronics and I love how people use this in their music creation, from custom midi-based guitar modifications to elaborate pedal combinations, to get those little nods to their studio production music as close as possible in front of a live audience. Muse would be one of these bands.
Being dyslexic, I keep the editing team on their toes and reviews are a personal challenge for me.
I don’t get to as many gigs as I would like, but festivals are my happy places (except for the camping).
I genuinely feel that the music-loving community is a big driving force for change and we can work together to solve our problems.
