Ten Ton Slug are a sludge juggernaut that I'm still yet to catch live. Bloodstock will hopefully bring on successful slug hunting for me! The four-piece from Galway, Ireland, specialise in massively chunky riffs and hollering stoner vocals. Their prominent bookings for festivals such as Hammerfest and HRH Doom Vs Stoner exemplify what makes them great on record, and by all reports even better live. They have two studio releases under their belt (superbly named 'Brutal Gluttonous Beast' and 'Blood and Slime'), and if they’re anything to go by then don't wait for a break between songs for a piss, as all the songs they do are pretty damn long! Sludgy, groovy, stoner slabs of pure-slug are what they deliver, and as they declare themselves - the Slug is hungry, the Slug shows no mercy.
