74. LIK - 'Misanthropic Breed'

This is proper Swedish Death Metal. It feels like it has fallen through a hole in space and time from the heady glory days of the mid-nineties. The guitar’s crunch, the riffs pierce and the vocals growl. It is gloriously malignant and majestically heavy. However, the songs are melodic enough to have structure and feeling of individualism. This is not noise for noises sake. In fact, it is eleven slices of well-crafted and intricately created metal. Whilst it may be fast and furious, in the end “Misanthropic Breed” is more about the songs than the speed.
