41. Igorrr - 'Spirituality and Distortion'

Absolutely bonkers album from the French multi-instrumentalist Gautier Serre. It is impossible to describe just how out there and utterly ludicrous this album actually is. Just imagine if you played every other album on here simultaneously and you are still nowhere near the utter lunacy of “Spirituality and Distortion”. There is opera, hip-hop and eastern flavours to name a few and that is within the opening few tracks. It is a Russian roulette game of different musicals flavours as you are never sure where the next chord, never mind next track is going to take you. In the end, I stopped trying to figure out what was going on or where the hell it was heading, just enjoying it for the absurd but gorgeous mess that it is.
