Swallow the Sun Announce Shining Over Britain & Ireland Tour 2025 dates

Two-time Finnish Grammy-nominated metal icons Swallow the Sun have announced a headline show at Opium, Dublin, on December 13 as part of their Shining Over Britain & Ireland Tour.

Formed in 2000 by Juha Raivio, Swallow the Sun released their debut album The Morning Never Came in 2003 and have found their place in the melodic doom/death metal scene. Their line-up includes Juha Raivio, Matti Honkonen, Mikko Kotamäki, Juuso Raatikainen, and Juho Räihä.

The tour follows the release of their ninth studio album, Shining, which dropped on October 18, 2024, via Century Media Records.

Announcing the news on social media, the band wrote: "Doom, despair, and just the right amount of miserable joy—what more could you ask for?

"Join us in the land of eternal rain, ancient ghosts, and the finest pints to drown your sorrows. Let’s make December even darker together."
