Skunk Anansie announce new UK tour for Spring 2025
British rock legends Skunk Anansie have announced a major UK headline tour set for Spring 2025, marking the beginning of an exciting new era for the iconic band. With a brand new production and new music in the works, the tour promises to reignite the raw energy and rebellious spirit that has defined their career since the 1990s.
Formed in London in 1994, Skunk Anansie quickly gained recognition for their unique fusion of alternative rock, punk, and dub influences. Known for their powerful social and political commentary, as well as lead vocalist Skin's unapologetic queer identity and striking fashion, the band became one of the most influential and talked-about acts of their generation. Over the years, they’ve released critically acclaimed albums like Paranoid & Sunburnt and Post Orgasmic Chill, producing hits such as “Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good),” “Weak,” and “Selling Jesus.”
After taking a break in the early 2000s, Skunk Anansie triumphantly reunited in 2009, continuing to release new music and electrify audiences with their live performances. The band is currently working on new tracks to follow recent singles “Piggy” and “This Means War,” ensuring their upcoming 2025 tour will be a showcase of both classic hits and fresh material. Speaking about the tour, Skin expressed her excitement: “We are really excited to be getting back on tour, doing what we love the most, which is playing live with fire in our belly. This tour will be a completely brand new production and we can’t wait to share it with the UK.”
The 14-date tour kicks off on March 29th at London’s Roundhouse and concludes on April 16th in Guildford at G Live. Tickets go on fan pre-sale on Wednesday, October 16th, followed by a Spotify pre-sale on October 17th, and general on sale on Friday, October 18th. Tickets will be available via www.skunkanansie.com.
