The palmarés for Def Con One is an impressive one with Download, Hammerfest, HRH Metal, Beermageddon and previous Bloodstock performances under their belt – and that’s not even the full list! You wouldn’t expect anything less from a band formed back in 1997 by former Venom drummer Antton Lant. They deliver a ferocious mix of post-thrash, biker metal and old-school rock that should interest virtually everyone knocking about Catton Hall this August. Actually, I suggest you all go along and listen to these guys at Bloodstock with your eyes closed, and I challenge you not to think at various points that you’re in the presence of Pantera, Alice in Chains, Biohazard… Heavy, groovy and with a finely tuned live performance, make sure you don’t miss these Newcastle stalwarts.
